About Us

We are a small breeder located on Lookout Mountain of Northeastern Alabama. We live on 17 acres that are primarily wooded. This area of Alabama is filled with small mountain streams and waterfalls. Mentone is noted for its cool summer climate which has attracted numerous summer camps. We were happy to exchange the traffic and congestion of Atlanta for the quiet, peace, and beauty of the mountains.

We researched all of the large breed dogs for several months before settling on the Tibetan Mastiff (TM). We selected the TM over other breeds because of their temperament, size, guardian instinct, and longevity.

We see a lot of wolf characteristics in Tibetan Mastiffs. They are incredibly smart, aloof around strangers, stubborn, and loyal to their owners. We raised high content wolf dogs for over 15 years. Several of our wolf dogs traveled all over the U.S. with us. They were house broken, obedience, leash and crate trained. We have applied the same training techniques with our TMs.

Our pack has been through obedience and conformation training. We started socializing our TMs on the first day that they were brought home. Our dogs romp through the woods, dig holes, and get muddy when they are not groomed for a show. They chase each other through the woods, jump into their swimming pool, and play tag. They spend most of their days being dogs and guarding the property. They watch over our old wolf dogs and have been known to tease them at times.

We love the breed and they have given us a tremendous amount of enjoyment watching them grow. They are a part of our family. All of them have distinct personalities. At the same token, they all get along quite well and play most of the time.

Our experience with the Tibetan Mastiff has offered us an opportunity to meet some really nice people. Several of the Tibetan Mastiff breeders we have dealt with have become friends, mentors, and are a valuable source of information. We have met owners of our gang’s litter mates. We love to swap stories of our TMs antics. We are meeting new friends in the show ring as well and they are also a wealth of information. Our show endeavors are for fun for us and our dogs.
