Our Dogs

We acquired three sisters in 2007. Two are black and tan and one is black with a little white on her chest. Each one has their on distinct personality and they are the matrons of the pack today. They watch over the rest of the pack. They were our first experience with Tibetan Mastiffs and have set the standard for the way our pack is to perform. We wish to express our deep appreciation to Mary Morningstar of Wawatay, Traci Nelson of Sa Nashoba, Susie Ochsenbein of Himalaya’s, Himmat Singh Sekhon of Saras, Lois Claus and Dan Nechemias of Dawa and Kristi Sherling of Sierra’s for all the wonderful help they have given us. It is truly a delightful experience to have other Tibetan Mastiff breeders become mentors and friends.

Apache’s name translates into Apache, great wolf dog. Apache is our first AKC Grand Champion. She is my “show princess” and she loves to exhibit in the show ring. She has been one of the easiest dogs I have ever trained. She is a once in a life time special girl. A special thanks to Susie Ochsenbein for bringing this lovely girl into my life. Her pedigree is available upon request.

Cherokee is our youngest AKC Champion. She is the youngest female Tibetan Mastiff to earn her AKC Championship at 7 months. She was the first in her litter to earn her championship. She loves the show ring and does not know a stranger. She loves to entice other dogs into play. She is the happiest puppy I have ever seen. She is a joy to show and I love her antics in the ring. She has many more show events ahead of her. I wish to extend a very special thank you to Lois Claus, Dan Nechemias, and Kristi Sherling for the breeding that brought this incredible ray of sunshine into my life. Her pedigree is available upon request. Special thanks to Judge James E. Frederiksen for her phenomenal win.

Cherokee’s “twin” brother littermate, Fozzie was the second one in the litter to get his AKC Championship.

Zuni’s name translates into Zuni, wolf dog spirit. She is black with white on her chest like Ocoee. She has an incredible sweet personality and can steal your heart in a second. Zuni is my most ferocious protector. She guards the car, my motel room, and me. I never worry when Zuni is traveling with me. I just love her quirky personality.

Zuni’s tail is like a pompom. When she wags her tail, it reminds me of a cheerleader waving her pompom at a game. Her pedigree is available upon request.

Kokopelli is an extremely outgoing girl. Kokopelli was named in honor of my wonderful wolf dog, Denali that lived to be 17 years old. Denali’s spirit is still with us. She has bonded to Kiska, my, Finnish Lapphund. They are like sisters. The two of them are double trouble. She even bosses the grown Tibetan Mastiffs around. I can never thank Dan and Lois of Dawa’s Tibetan Mastiffs for this gorgeous girl. She is a sheer pleasure to have around.

Cochise was named for an Apache Indian Chief. Chiricahua is Apache for Great Mountain. The Chiricahua Mountains in southeast Arizona were the former home of the Apache. The Chiricahua were the most warlike of the Arizona Indians. Cochise was one of the tribes most noted chiefs. Ciye means “my son”. Cochise is the son of my GCH CH Apache x GCH CH Tishomingo. He is a lovely boy with substantial bone and outgoing personality. He has already shown traits to be a pack leader. He earned his AKC championship at 8 months of age.

Sequoyah is from the breeding of GCH Samrat of Saras (Janoo) x GCH Dawa’s Cherokee, Tanana’s Olathe Sitala. We call Sequoyah our golden boy and “Goldie Locks”. There were two dark gold puppies in the litter with coloring very similar to Cherokee and Janoo. One puppy was a beautiful black and tan and Sequoyah is light gold. Sequoyah got his light gold coloring from his grandmother, Aura. See photo of Aura.

Tishomingo’s name translates to little wolf. He is an extremely loving male and faithful companion. He has come a long way in his short time in the show ring. In the beginning, he hated traveling. Now, he is the first TM at the door when he knows we are going on a road trip.

He was a fantastic baby sitter with Ocoee’s litter. He played with the puppies for hours and never got rough with them. He is truly a wonderful TM.

Comanche is our AKC Champion golden boy. Tseena is wolf in the Comanche language. He is extremely laid back. His wonderful temperament was passed onto his offspring from the breeding in 2009. He is very smart and grasped the commands of obedience training quickly when he was a puppy. He loves to travel and is the first one in the vehicle. He commands the most attention at shows.

He does not know a stranger and wants to check out everything and everyone when we go somewhere. He is exceptionally gentle with small children. His pedigree is available upon request. A special thanks to Judge Joe Gregory for the exciting win.

Comancheria’s Aiyana Seminole Nashoba

DOB - November 9, 2009
Sire - GCH Sa Nashoba’s Comanche Tseena Kenai
Dam - CH Wawatay Ocoee Mishi Makwa

Comancheria’s Aiyana Seminole Nashoba translates into Seminole, eternal wolf. He is from the breeding of CH Wawatay Ocoee Mishi Makwa x GCH CH Sa Nashoba’s Comanche Tseena Kenai. Seminole is a big boy with substantial bone and is 30 inches at the withers. He is the most stubborn Tibetan Mastiff I have ever had. He gets it honestly from his grandmother. I saw his inflexibility at a very young age. I never placed Seminole for fear of his stubbornness being misunderstood. He has sat down in the parking lot more than once at Pet Smart and said, “No, I am not moving!” At 130 pounds (and still growing), we have had to wait until he decides to get in the vehicle. He is a loveable gentle giant and I love his sweet natured temperament. Friends refer to him as “Cinnamon Bun”.

He is a substantial boy like his brother Seminole. He tends to let his brother take the lead on adventures. He is just the opposite of his brother as far as stubbornness. He is 29 inches at the withers and 115 lbs. He still has a lot of growing to do. He is a very loving male.
